Living Independently With The Help Of A Companion and
Cost Effectiveness

Today seniors live longer.  The majority of them enjoy living
independently in their own home and community rather than a
retirement home or home for the elderly.  Research indicates that
in-home care makes a person happier, healthier, and promotes their
independence.  Furthermore, in-home care cost a fraction of the
fees incurred for assisted living.

Statistics from
Basic Statistics About Home Care, Updated 2008,
National Association for Home Care & Hospice
prove that "home
care is a cost-effective service, not only for individuals recuperating
from a hospital stay, but also for those who because of functional or
cognitive disability, are unable to take care of themselves."  (See
Table)

"However, it should be noted that cost-effectiveness is not the only
rationale for home care.  In fact, the best argument for home care is
that it is a humane and compassionate way to deliver heath care
and supportive services.  Home Care reinforces and supplements
the care provided by family members and friends and maintains the
recipient's dignity and independence.  Further, home care allows the
patients to take an active role in their care, becoming a member of
the multidisciplinary health care team."

Consequently,
Companion Care Services considers these facts
when determining fees.  Charging an affordable rate will ease the
burden of service compensation while allowing our clients to stay at
home.
